Actor and comedian, Russell Brand has confirmed to the public via Twitter that he has returned to being a vegan after watching the documentary “What The Health”.

Russell Brand said: “I do love animals and plants but the thing that nudged me into veganism is the lobbying by meat/dairy industry in @Kip_Andersen’s film What The Health,” Brand answered when asked by a fan if his “adventures in vegan-hood” was due to “respect for life.”

A vegan fan commented on Russel brand returning to being a vegan “Great news Russell, been vegan 5 years and never looked back. Looked after a rescue pig for a while and he was such an eccentric character, figured there’s no justification for killing others unless your survival depends on it, thankfully for you and me it doesn’t!”

In 2011, Russell Brand decided that he should be vegan after watching the documentary Forks Over Knives – however this did not last in which in 2013 he returned to being a vegetarian. Russell described being a vegan as “like being in a food prison”.

Russell joins a long line of celebrities becoming vegan, such as Simon Cowell and Kim Kardashian.
